Great news

Since lot of users are using this PITinfo to wire to microcontroller such as ESP32 or ESP8266 I decided to simplify the whole creating a shield that just fit into these awesome cheap ESP boards.

This board is just a shield only. It need external ESP32 board to work with and basic soldering skills are needed.

ESP32 board is not part of the product, so if you prefer to have a powerfull ESP32 fully plug and play assembled board with Tasmota flashed, please take a look on Denky D4 board

v1.2 Release

  • Changed R3 by 2K trimer to adjust Teleinfo signal sensitivity
  • Added QWIIC/STEMA I2C classic connector
  • Changed Blue Led resistor to decrease light intensity
  • Placed easy cutting trace to disable Teleinfo Blue LED
  • Better silk depending on ESP used with this shield

Now tested compatibility with new boards

Take care that old WeMos C3 had bad RF design, see dirty fix here. This issue is now fixed

What is it?

A WeMos ESP32/ESP8266 Shield for French national metering system called "Téléinfo". This convert data issued from National Energy provider to serial interface and then, let the user doing whatever he likes with the data, such as pushing into Emoncms, MQTT, HTTP, ...

Why did you make it?

Following lot of users demands that wanted a cheap board after reading Teleinfo article on my blog, really surprised how the demand was.

What makes it special?

It's tiny, simple, cheap and very useful!!

What's included ?

One complete and assembled board with teleinfo plug connector, connector is not soldered

  • Board has WS2812 RGB Led, to do whatever you like with
  • Also added small Teleinfo Led so quick visual check if any Teleinfo signal going out from smart meter
  • I2C connector to be able to add sensors, Oled, lot of things.
  • If you want something small, don't use the headers provided with your ESP32/ESP8266 board that are very long. You can add small headers as an option.
  • You can also add with this board an ESP32 MH ET Live Board already flashed with Teleinfo Tasmota Firmware

This shield fit with Wemos Mini D1 ESP8266, WeMos Mini ESP32, Wemos S2 Mini, Wemos S3 Mini and Wemos C2 Mini that is not provided, so you'll need to buy it separately.

Is is also compatible with new Linky metering system with Standard and Historique mode

Shipping policy

"Lettre Verte", "Lettre Suivie", "Service Plus" shipments are not insured. The postal service sometimes loses mail—this is very rare, but it does happen. No claims can be made if this occurs. I cannot be held responsible for postal service errors. If you do not wish to take any risk, please choose registered mail.

Some letters may take up to 3 weeks to arrive. This is also rare but has happened before, so there is no need to worry if delivery occasionally takes longer.

Here are some extras that might be useful for your project!

USB version to connect to a computer / Raspberry PI
