What is it?
What this is not is my voice recorder board, sorry. They are listed separately.
What this is is the top side of my voice recorder board, i.e. everything except microphones and micro SD.
- Compact design, flat base
- USB-C for power and programming
- LiPo charge circuit (small molex)
- Push button
- 4 WS2812 on board LEDs
- GPIO connection for "charging" and for "VBUS present"
Useful for experimenting with ESP32S3, and WS2812 LEDs, or battery working.
A micro SD card carrier (not included) could be manually soldered on the back easily. It is all wired up with the pull up resistors ready to take this.
The microphones, TDK ICS 43434 (not included) are not likely to be something you could hand solder, sorry.
Why did you make it?
I ordered voice recorder boards and did not tick "double sided". The cost of rework would be more than getting new boards.
What makes it special?
ESP32S3 does USB directly, making easy to program using esptool directly.
LiPo charger circuit means it can run from batteries.
Very small.
Great as a simple dev board to play with.
