What it is

This is designed to be a tally light for film / theatre use - to advise presentors / actors of status, camera, etc.

It is very useful to have a light that needs just one cable, Ethernet, to a PoE switch. But it can also work of USB power and Ethernet or WiFi, so a lot of flexibility.

Sometimes a button is, apparently, useful - so this allows two buttons or contacts can also be connected.

Help make this better

I do not know a lot about the industry, and so very keen to get feedback. Thankfully I have one customer that does.

The software I have for now is my normal LED controller code, which has all sorts of LED effects, but can work simply as an on/off LED (strip) controlled from Home Assistant. I suspect it needs more specific code for film / theatre applications, and I understand there are some standard protocols. Do let me know what you need and I'll work on sofware. Obviously you can load your own code and do what you like.

The case design is black resin to be discrete if in shot, with a white resin diffuser on the 20 LEDs. These can light any colour and control brightness as you need (WS2812).
