What is it?

ESP32S3-MINI-1-N4-R2 based board (Dual CPU, 4MB flash, 2M SPI RAM)

It is a very specialised board, designed to work with an antique ASR33 Teletype using 20mA current loop serial at 110 Baud.

It has an input for a button (typically MOTOR START) and output 3.3V signals to drive solid state relays for power and motor on (solid state relays not included).

It allows WiFi connect over TCP in and out, and working over MQTT, as well as local working via web interface, including large text on paper tape.

It includes a full copy of the original Colossal Cave by Will Crowther.

Why did you make it?

Because I have an ASR33 teletype in my hall, older than me, it is cool.

I use it all the time just to print from text messages for anything that needs to get attention of me or people in the house. I don't play Colossal Cave much, but my grandson loved it.

What makes it special?

Seriously? Does anyone else make anything like this ever? It is special!
