A well thought out, robust design of just the right size. The layout is good, and the button action is positive. It's good that it can be reconfigured with an I2C interface, this would facilitate a connection to a microcontroller based project.

Just wow

I'm planning on making this style of keyboard part of a cyberdeck build. It is a great size. It works very well out of the box. Documentation is great. Price is exceptionally low.

Much better experience using this keyboard than you'd think. It's got decent travel, good tactile response and easy to integrate into projects.

Great little keyboard

I haven’t integrated this into a design yet, but I’ve used it in the KeebDeck Basic and it’s a great keyboard. The silicone keys are soft enough to not feel sharp or harsh to touch, but still firm enough to avoid accidental or missed key presses and give good tactile feedback. The materials & components used are well thought out.

Excellent product!

This will be incredibly useful for prototyping. I was a little concerned that silicone keys would feel a little spongy and unpleasant, but it’s nothing of the sort. They do have a soft feel to them, but they’re firm enough to avoid unintentional or missed key presses and the switches have great tactile feedback. I haven’t tried the 3D printed case yet, but the bare PCB is comfortable enough to use for prototyping purposes. Absolutely no complaints about order handling or shipping times, all was handled swiftly and efficiently. In fact the only thing I’m not keen on is soldering a connector to the back of it - but that’s not a fault with the product, it’s a fault with my soldering!

Useful but could be improved

We used FlexyPins in an electrical testing jig for a PCB module. They got the job done in prototyping phase, but we will probably make custom contacts for mass production.
Good: Easy readymade solution for a niche problem. The pins worked well electrically.
Bad: Pins are sharp and fragile. It is quite easy to bend the pins accidentally or get scratches on you skin.
Suggestion: Instead of a vertical pin, make the visible part a loop (upside down letter U). Both legs of the U go through a slot in PCB. It would be a bit stronger against bending and there would be no sharp point.

The right component for the right job

If you need to make a solderless programming jig and your board has castellated holes, these are the next best thing. Works great . Pins are bendable so might need replacement after a while. Lots of good doc. I needed a 2.0mm spacing but doc proposed a minimum of 2.7mm. Still works great. Would buy again

FInally got around to try this, and I find it super useful to fixate some pcb for soldering, especially SMD components. I'm still looking for something more reusable than duct tape but it does the job.
