All my Daikin are now Local!

Really cool project. Now i can fully handle my Daikin AC with iobroker. No Messing around with the Daikin Cloud anymore. The adapters themselves are Professional and very good. Software running smoothly.

Plug & Play

Takes some time before it is actually shipped, once handed over to the courier, it was delivered in a few days. Product was preconfigured - make sure you order the right cable. Needed to look for a good manual to open the indoor unit - but found one and when the main board is accessible, installation is really plug&play. Had some challenges to get MQTT activated within Home Assistant - Faikout kept saying 'not connected', but after trying the credentials in a separate MQTT-viewer it started working.

Shipped quickly, love this product

This unit is the 7th that I have purchased - the Faikout controller is just perfect for use with my Daikin ceiling-mounted airconditioners, controlled via Home Assistant.
Shipping was almost instant so I am very happy.

Faikout Works

Very good service and fast delivery.
The product works as intended, although some tedious work is needed to fit the proper connector for one’s unit . The documentation on site about wiring layout is very accurate.
My units are CN_WIRED, one definitely needs to adapt JST PH 5 pin male to the other end of the generic cable. This is a bit cumbersome, requires careful rewiring (per site details, https://codeberg.org/RevK/ESP32-Faikout/wiki/Wiring) and very fine movements to crimp the JST PH connectors, but is doable.
Think it will be a sure improvement if pre-made cables are offered for sale per type of connection.

Whole house now on Faikout and HA

This is an amazing product! I got 9 of these and set them up on two different types of daikin air cons and hooked them up to Home Assistant using MQTT! Rock solid since installaiton. I am using MQTT and the values on home assistant update right away! Updates over the air which is also impressive!
One suggestion is for lectronz to also stock the various cables you need (Type A, Type C etc) to connect to the various different daikin aircons.

It just works

Delivery was swift, just a couple of days to the Netherlands. Everything just worked out of the box. Set the communication rating to excellent, since without the need to communicate, it's impossible to miscommunicate.

Excellent hardware, and a seller who stands behind it

The Faikout does exactly what I hoped: it replaces the Daikin wireless adapter with something that talks directly to Home Assistant over local WiFi, no cloud, no vendor app, no account.
What makes it worth the money is that it exposes far more than the original controller ever did. If you have the technical background to make use of it, you get access to parameters and states the manufacturer's own interface simply doesn't surface, and you can build automations around them properly instead of working around someone else's idea of what a thermostat should do. It's not a plug-and-play product for everyone, and it isn't pretending to be one, but if you know what you want from your heat pump it takes you well past the stock feature set.
Documentation is thorough and honest about what it does and doesn'thandle.
On shipping: my first parcel got stuck in Italian customs for a month and was eventually returned to sender. Nothing to do with the seller, but the way they handled it deserves mentioning. Every message got a reply the same day, they chased Royal Mail on their own initiative, and they kept me informed at every step until it was sorted. The order was resolved quickly once it became clear the first parcel wasn't coming, and the hardware reached me in six days. That is how you deal with a problem that isn't your fault.
Recommended, both the product and the seller.

Stargate Coaster

Nice product, bought for my daughter's birthday later this month.
Not sure a "Documentation" rating is relevant, it came with none. Intuition said just plug 5V USB-C in to power up.
Good light show reacting to a few cantatas by Bach, I figure it'll take off with something she calls drum and bass.
Max USB current load (drumming fingers on the coaster for full light show) is 0.8A should she wish to take it & a power bank to a Pub, given they find a baby sitter for that young Aiden - can't be me, I'm 12hrs bike ride away according to Google Maps & don't own a bike anyway ... or car, helicopter or Stargate.

Superb bit of kit.

Turned up a day or two after payment in the post, so nice and quick.
Does exactly what it says on the tin and gives me a properly synced clock on my wall (and across my network). Overkill? Probably. Fun? Definitely.
Superb quality, and easy enough to fit together. I’m picking up a decent amount of sats even with the antenna in my office going thru plasterboard insulation and the roof tiles (a room in the middle of my flat so no direct window but it’s where all my network gear lives)
All well designed, well thought out and open source.
But then what else would you expect from RevK?
