Made my PC-1251 work

The screen of my PC-1251 was completely dead with no signs od damage. However blind typing BEEP 9 worked. Getting the screen to the UK was a bit of a faff, but cheap! Installing it using the YouTube video as a guide was easy KI used a heat gun to remove the old screen rather than acetone - it's much quicker) ... but after 4 failed attempts with a dodgy screen I watched a couple more videos. Turns out I needed to position the new screen as far left (opposite side to the nipple) as it would go. That done it worked straight away! The screen is excellent quality.

A perfect replacement display for your pocket computer

Its great that replacement displays are made for retro gear like the pocket computer. Without these, you would be hard-pressed to get anything else to work, at least not something that fitted into the original case. A niche product that only suits the intended replacement product, yet one that is vital for that role to be sure.
