The USB-C PD Trigger Module is a compact interface for selecting a fixed output voltage from USB-C Power Delivery chargers without requiring any additional controller or communication. It is designed for makers, embedded developers, prototyping and lab use whenever a simple and reliable adjustable power source is needed directly from a USB-C PD power supply.

** Main features:**

  • Selectable output voltages: 5V / 9V / 12V / 15V / 20V
  • Default configuration: 12V
  • Works with USB-C Power Delivery (PD 2.0 / 3.0)
  • Supports PPS, QC2.0 / QC3.0 / QC4+, FCP and AFC protocols
  • Output current up to 3A (depending on power supply)
  • Compact form factor: approx. 20 × 14 mm
  • Clearly labeled solder pads for voltage selection
  • Onboard Power-Good-LED indicator
  • Direct solder output pads for easy integration

What it can do:

This module negotiates with a USB-C Power Delivery power supply and requests a fixed voltage level. Once configured, it acts as a stable DC voltage source for your application. It allows you to easily convert a standard USB-C PD charger into a selectable power supply for embedded systems, small devices or test setups without requiring any firmware or microcontroller. Because the requested voltage depends on the power supply capabilities, the module will automatically fall back to the highest supported voltage if the selected level is not available.

** Typical use cases:**

  • Powering Arduino, ESP and other microcontroller projects
  • Supplying LED strips or small lighting setups
  • Running fans or small DC loads
  • Portable lab power source
  • Prototyping and breadboard setups
  • Replacing multiple fixed power supplies with one USB-C charger

User interface The output voltage is configured via solder bridges directly on the PCB. No software or external control is required. Once set, the module automatically requests the selected voltage when connected to a PD power supply.

The package only includes the USB-C PD Trigger Module. A USB-C PD power supply and cable are required for operation and are not included.
