This is a replica Printed Circuit Board (PCB) derived from the Commodore 64 8-bit computer.

The boards were created to allow Commodore 64 computers that had damaged or faulty PCBs to be successfully repaired. This can be achieved by moving all components from an original board to the replica board, or even replace some parts with new or more modern alternatives.

Assembly #250469 Revision B

This board design was one of the last used by Commodore. Commonly referred to as a "short board", it requires 2 x 32KB RAM ICs and various logic ICs, as well as the following "custom" ICs:

• 6526 CIAs (2)
• Basic ROM
• Combined Kernal and Character ROM
• 6510/8580 Processor
• "Super-PLA"
• 8580 SID
• VIC II Video Controller

Note: The 250469 REV. B uses the 252535-01 version of the "Super-PLA". This PLA has the colour SRAM integrated, and therefore the board does not have a separate IC for this purpose (U19).

Other Information

Over the past 30+ years, there have been many boards that have become damaged for various reasons such as poor storage conditions etc. The replica boards are of the same dimensions of the originals and can therefore be used as a direct replacement to the original PCBs. A "Bill of Materials" (BOM) community editable spreadsheet has been created to help locating replacements parts.

• Resistor Packs, containing all required resistors for the specific model of board selected. All resistors are high quality metal film resistors.
• Electrolytic Capacitor Packs, containing all required Electrolytic capacitors for the specific model of board selected. All Electrolytic Capacitors are high quality branded products.
• Resistor Networks, containing the resistor network components for the specific model of board selected.
• SwinSID Nano b, a modern SID chip replacement.
• New replacement power switch - Recently manufactured new power switches available.

Other available component packs and addons will be added as they become available.

I try and ship products the same day where possible (please bear in mind time-zone differences!). It can sometimes take me a few days to despatch orders due to work commitments, post office opening hours, real-life events etc.
