The KS032 PTC8 is a power distribution board with overcurrent protection and detection.
Use it to connect between your power supply (up to 30VDC) and loads. It has 8 PTC fuses for protecting 8 individual circuits.
A serial interface allows a host micro/SBC to monitor the state of the fuses and detect if they have tripped or are still operating as expected. Data is shifted out of the board using a shift register logic interface. Logic signals for reading the fuse state can be configured to operate at either 5V or 3.3V levels.
Need more than 8 circuits to be connected? No problem, just daisy-chain multiple KS032 PTC-8 boards together for as many as you need and keep the same interface to your host micro/SBC.
Need to see what the state of the fuses is at a quick glance? No problem, clear LEDs show the state of the input voltage and output voltage for all 8 circuits.
Not all my remote loads have the ability to tell me why they have stopped working. Is my motor not running because it stalled and tripped the fuse? Is my solenoid not activating because it's been running too frequently and tripped the fuse? Is my lamp not running because a short circuit occurred somewhere and tripped the fuse? Is my amplifier and speaker not playing music because the power supply has failed?
Now I know for sure if my circuits are still powered, or have they tripped the fuse. This board is another tool in your belt to help you diagnose if your remote circuits are operating as expected.
Using this can also help you alert your technician that a problem has occurred, instead of waiting for the users to complain about faulty machines. Wouldn't it be great to use this board to help send your tech team alerts when fuses trip?
Supplied with:
8 x 30V 5A PTC fuses, unsoldered, UL listed. Want to use a smaller fuse? No problem, just solder in your own fuses.
XH-7 connector and terminals for logic interface.
VH8, VH9 connectors and terminals for fused power input and output.
