About:

Thi is a kit to make a Morse Receiver for the RC2014, which enables the reception of text from another RC2014 using one of the world's oldest and best known codes.

MG016 is designed to enable the dots, dashes and spaces of Morse to be timed easily and offers four jumper-selectable reception speeds. It picks up audio via a microphone and can be adjusted to detect tones anywhere between 400Hz and 4kHz.

There is nothing to stop MG016 from being used for forms of On-Off Keying (OOK) other than Morse, if so desired.

MG016 has a companion Morse Transmitter, MG015. It can also decode online Morse Generators such as:

What's included?

A PCB and all components required are included, including sockets for all ICs. A PDF with full instructions is available at the link below.

Please Note:

MG016 has been designed for RC2014 with reference to the RC2014 Module Template. All pinouts used and the physical outline are in compliance with the RC2014 Module Template.

RC2014 is a trademark of RFC2795 Ltd.

MG016 has been designed for hobbyist use only and is not to be used for safety or business critical applications.

MG015 and MG016 are capable of transmitting long messages accurately across a room between two RC2014’s, but there are many factors (such as ambient noise and relative clock timings) that can affect this.

The payment of any import taxes and duties will be the responsibility of the Buyer.
