The I2C Test Device is a compact standalone tool for developing, testing and troubleshooting I2C hardware without needing a PC. It combines target power control, bus diagnostics, device scanning and register access in one handheld unit with an OLED display and rotary encoder interface.

It is designed for makers, embedded developers, repair work, prototyping and lab use whenever quick I2C validation is needed directly on the bench.

What it can do This tool lets you power an I2C target directly from the tester, scan the bus for active devices, manually select an address, verify whether a device responds, read registers, write registers and continuously monitor changing register values. It can also help diagnose a blocked bus, detect stuck lines and attempt recovery using a 9-clock release sequence.

Because target voltage is monitored continuously, the device can also prevent unsafe conditions such as applying internal power while external voltage is already present.
