đŸŽ›ī¸ A compact I2C breakout built around the Alps SLLB120300 jog lever. It is a self-centring control: push it one way or the other and it springs back to centre when you let go. Each direction has two positions, a light first push and a further second, so you get four lever contacts in total, plus a centre press. ✋ Five distinct actions on one small board.

🧠 Every contact is read by an onboard AW9110C GPIO and LED driver, so the whole control talks to your microcontroller over two wires. No spare pins eaten up, no analogue reads to debounce. Each contact is reported independently, so your firmware decides what they mean: step then accelerate, slow then fast, scroll then jump, however suits your interface.

🌈 The same driver runs an onboard side-illuminating RGB LED that throws colour out from the edge of the board, so you can light the control, a light pipe, or a panel to match state or mode straight from software.

⚡ An interrupt (INT) line is broken out too, so the host can stay idle and be woken on a change rather than polling the bus.

đŸ› ī¸ Two spare driver channels (OUT3 and OUT9) are broken out to pads as well, so there is room to bolt on your own LED, button, or whatever else you fancy.

🔄 For advanced users, the back of the board carries alternate footprints too: one for a 3-position jog dial in place of the standard lever, and a second set of pads for the RGB LED so you can move it to the rear. Fit the LED in one position or the other, not both.

🔌 Connect it your way:

🔗 4-pin JST-SH socket, pin-compatible with Qwiic and STEMMA QT, so it plugs into a SparkFun or Adafruit setup with one cable (power and I2C). 🌱 5-pin 0.1" header in the Pimoroni Breakout Garden I2C pinout (3V3, SDA, SCL, INT, GND), so it slots straight into a Breakout Garden base. The interrupt rides along on this header, whereas the 4-pin JST-SH carries power and I2C only.
