GhostBridge GB-01.1 is a fully assembled and tested Wi-Fi to RS-232 transparent serial bridge designed to replace a traditional wired serial connection with a wireless TCP connection. Built around an ESP32 with custom GhostBridge firmware, it creates its own Wi-Fi access point and transparently transfers serial data between the DB-9 RS-232 interface and a connected TCP client. Because GhostBridge operates as a transparent communications bridge, it is not limited to a specific ECU, software application, or serial protocol. It can be used with compatible automotive electronics, embedded systems, industrial equipment, diagnostics, testing equipment, and other RS-232 applications. Features include: USB-C power, DB-9 RS-232 connection, unique device Wi-Fi identification, custom firmware, protective 3D-printed enclosure, and individual functional testing before shipment. GhostBridge was originally developed by Crux Resolve LLC for use with the GhostTune automotive tuning application, but its transparent architecture supports many other compatible serial applications.
