What is it?
The KS039 Motor Driver Board is a test and evaluation board using the TI DRV8870DDAR. It contains clear indicator LEDs, reliable polarised, friction fit XH connectors and user adjustable overcurrent settings. Simple pull-to-ground inputs allow easy interfacing to 5 and 3.3V control circuits.
Capable of driving 6.5V - 12V motors continuously (higher voltages can be used with pulse-width modulation).
Why did you make it?
The DRV8870DDAR IC looked suitable for an application I was developing. There were no readily available demo boards available at the time so I made this to help evaluate the IC.
