What is it?

This shield lets you stack a dust sensor, such as the SDS011 or the GP2Y10 on top of an ESP32 or ESP8266. There are also I2C connectors for sensors such as AM2302 and DHTxx.

This item is Just The PCB (Printed circuit board, one of the green rectangles in the photo). Let us know if you would like a kit or assembled version, and we can arrange a listing for such.

Why did you make it?

This is a quick and easy way to bootstrap a household or workplace air quality sensor. Like many of our boards it arose from a community workshop held at our incubator/makerspace in Brisbane, Australia.

What makes it special?

Our boards are especially useful when combined with our open source stacx framework which is a modular Arduino program for building "stacks" of various sensors and actuators using the D1 bus. They also work well with [ESPhome[(esphome.io).
