**IMPORTANT CHANGE IN PRODUCT 21.10.2026**

**It is becoming more and more difficult for me to source the open ended x8 PCIe connector economically. For this reason for this batch of risers, the PCIe slot is closed. This means that you cannot fit anything longer than x8 PCIe card in it (i.e. a GPU) without opening the connector yourself. This also means the card is a couple USD cheaper.**

This is an Open Source project available on [GitHub](https://github.com/nandfarm/PowerRiser).

This PowerRiser is a custom-designed riser card tailored for Lenovo Tiny5 series systems (8th/9th gen Lenovo Tiny). It enables the addition of an extra 2230 or 2242 NVMe drive only while preserving the x8 PCIe connection through an open-ended x8 PCIe connector.

The x8 PCIe slot is **NO LONGER** open at the end, you cannot install longer cards, such as x16 GPUs, without cutting open the slot (open back mod). There are different ways to do it online, some more dangerous than others. The electrical connection would still be x8 though.

You will have to remove the metal bracket on the front that holds the Bluetooth antenna for this riser to fit. (see photos) Also see the fit in the photos with a x16 graphics card.

Only compatible with the following models: ThinkCentre M720q, M920q, M920x, and ThinkStation P330 Tiny The M.2 slot supports only PCIe NVMe drives, not SATA.

These boards are compatible with the following Levono riser FRU codes: 01AJ940, 01AJ902, 01AJ929. Basically if you are looking for any of the risers with the FRU codes mentioned above, this riser will do the same job and will allow you access to an extra 4 lane NVMe M.2 2230 or 2242 slot.
